Sticker Design for Student Life Communications
Objective: Design a series of stickers rooted in school spirit to welcome incoming freshmen at the University of Iowa, fostering a sense of community and pride.
Project Overview: As a Graphic Designer at Student Life Communications, I was tasked with creating a set of visually appealing and spirited stickers for the University of Iowa. The goal was to design stickers that embodied the school's identity, traditions, and values, and to distribute them to incoming freshmen as part of their welcome package.
Design Elements:
School Spirit and Identity:
Developed designs that incorporated iconic University of Iowa symbols, such as the Tigerhawk logo, Herky the Hawk mascot, and popular campus landmarks.
Used the university's official colors (black and gold) and fonts to ensure brand consistency and recognition.
Engaging and Inclusive Themes:
Created a variety of sticker themes that represented different aspects of student life, including athletics, social events, and campus traditions like 'The Wave'.
Included motivational messages to inspire school pride and a sense of belonging among new students.
Creative and Versatile Designs:
Ensured that each sticker design was unique and versatile, appealing to a broad range of interests and personalities.
Focused on fun illustrations that could be used on various surfaces like laptops, water bottles, notebooks, and dorm room decorations.
